TSMC Expands Confidentiality Network to US and European Partners to Safeguard IP
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is extending its trade secrets management system to suppliers in the US and Europe, reinforcing intellectual property security across its global supply chain. The AI-driven platform, operational since 2013, has cataloged over 610,000 proprietary innovations.
Intellectual property theft drains 1–3% of GDP annually, with individual cases reaching billions in losses. By integrating partners like ASE Technology Holding, TSMC aims to create an ecosystem-wide security framework, mitigating risks while enhancing competitive resilience in the semiconductor industry.
